Knowing when service is required for your vehicle and how urgently it is needed can be tricky. How Often Should Wipers Blades Be Changed?

The easiest answer is whenever they start streaking. However, as a rule of thumb for vehicles which are usually parked in a place that protects them from the elements, such as a garage or covered space, at least once a year is recommended. Cars that are kept outside where the wiper blades are frequently exposed to the elements should have theirs replaced up to two or even three times a year as needed for clear, safe vision.

How Often Should I Check/Change the Fluids In My Car?

Your user’s manual should list some common benchmarks for changing the various fluids in your car, but checking them is also relatively simple. In general, regular oil should be changed every 3,000 miles, synthetic every 5,000 and the oil should be checked about once a month. This timeframe can also be applied to all other liquids in your vehicle. Checking your car’s fluids once a month is a great idea.

Why Are My Brakes Screeching?

Properly functioning brakes should not make noise. If your brakes are screeching or squeaking, then it probably means it’s time to replace your brake pads or shoes. Getting this fixed as soon as it is noticed is imperative as worn out brakes are unsafe. Don’t wait for things to get worse and cause more expensive damage, get your brakes checked as soon as you can hear them.
When Do Spark Plugs Need Changed?

The longevity of your spark plug depends very much on the age and type of plug you have. Cars over 20 years old most likely have a plug which lasts about 12-15k miles. New cars have spark plugs that can last up to 90k miles. Consult your user’s manual to be certain what kind you have. If you’re still unsure, you can stop by our service department to get it checked.
